What it is?
Running Mustangs is our school-wide running club that promotes healthy lifestyle choices and encourages students to set physical fitness goals.
Students are given the opportunity to run Monday, Wednesday, and Friday during their lunch recess. Students are encouraged to run 1-2 laps. Each lap equals 1/2 a mile.
Students are working toward the completion of a full marathon (26.2 miles) throughout the year.
Why We're Doing It.
In addition to the physical benefits of regular moderate exercise, research shows that running also helps to improve working memory and enhances the ability to focus.
Running Mustangs also aligns with our Leader In Me initiative. While they are setting their running goals and choosing to run, our students are practicing a very important skill, having balance between work and play.
Special Milestone Rewards
When students reach certain milestones during their runs, they will earn special rewards including shirts, wristbands, and other fun prizes. Please continue reading to learn how you can sponsor a runner!
♥️Donations and Volunteers♥️
We need parent or community volunteers to help with Running Mustangs. This includes taking down student names when they complete their laps, and standing guard in the driveways to help keep the students safe.

Sponsorship Information
You can sponsor a runner for $10. Each sponsorship will provide runners with a sticker, a bracelet, and a marathon t-shirt to celebrate different milestones on their journey to complete running 26.2 miles!
All donations made are to a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, so please check for company matches!

Sponsorship Levels
We want to recognize support from families and businesses that are helping to make Running Mustangs possible. Any donation over $50 will get your family name/business logo printed on a banner in a variety of sizes based on your donation level.
BRONZE LEVEL: $50 (minimum)
SILVER LEVEL: $100 (minimum)
GOLD: $300 (minimum)
PLATINUM: $500 (minimum)
